    Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County

    Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County or simply Lianshan County is an autonomous county under the jurisdiction of Qingyuan Cityball, Guangdong Province, Chinaball. It is one of the three ethnic minority autonomous counties in Guangdong Provinceball. Lianshan Countyball has a long history, governing 12 towns and 3 agricultural and forestry farms. Ethnic minorities account for more than 65% of its population. Lianshan Countyball is the only autonomous county in Guangdong Provinceball where two ethnic minorities, the Zhuang and Yao peoples, live together. Lianshan Countyball's government is situated at Jitian Town.[1]

    History

    The region present-day Lianshan Countyball exists in was first designated as a county by Southern Liangball in 506.

    Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County was established on September 26th, 1962.

    Population

    In 2021, Lianshan Countyball's total registered population was 124,728. Among them, its rural population is ~90,866 and its urban population is ~33,862.

    The Zhuang people make up the plurality of the population of Lianshan Countyball, comprising ~47% of its population. Around 36% of its population identify as Han, while the Yao people, another minority group, comprise ~16% of its population.
